Oslo-based jazz pianist Mikkel Lien performs a repertoire spanning modern and traditional jazz, folk, and gypsy music. Major influences include Jan Johansson, Django Reinhardt, and Bill Evans.He studied classical piano at the Grieg Academy under Natalya Pasichnyk, and jazz with Olga Konkova (UiO) and Tor Ingar Jacobsen, among others.Available for festivals and private events, he performs as a soloist or in ensembles tailored to the occasion. Rates are agreed upon per booking.
