Oslo-based jazz pianist Mikkel Lien performs a repertoire spanning modern and traditional jazz, folk, and gypsy music. Major influences include Jan Johansson, Django Reinhardt, and Bill Evans.He studied classical piano at the Grieg Academy under Natalya Pasichnyk, and jazz with Olga Konkova (UiO) and Tor Ingar Jacobsen, among others.Available as a soloist or in ensembles tailored to the occasion, he draws on experience performing at private and public arrangements, restaurants, and festivals.Rates are agreed upon per booking.
